With over a decade of experience, Catherine enjoys learning and working on new projects across the United States. She has worked at multiple levels of government, from the U.S. Congress to state, municipal, and county governments. This valuable experience has allowed her to write successful grant proposals for numerous federal, state, and foundation grants. Her resume includes a little of everything: public art projects, infrastructure, railroad safety features, historic preservation projects, and many more! Catherine is a member of the Grant Professionals Association and the American Grant Writers’ Association. She has served as a Board advisor for the Gulfport Galleria of Fine Arts and on the Board of Commissioners for the Harrison County Beautification Commission. Catherine is also an instructor for the Mississippi Alliance for Nonprofits and Philanthropy where she teaches courses on grant writing for nonprofits, local governments, and grant research. Catherine earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science and History, as well as her Master’s in Public Administration and Political Science from Jacksonville State University. She continued with her PhD at Texas A&M University. Catherine is a native of Minnesota and currently resides on the Gulf of Mexico where the weather is considerably warmer! Email: [email protected]
Sami is the resident blogger and researcher at MPS Grants. She earned her bachelor’s in history, with minors in music and British studies, from St. Cloud State University. After working in education for a few years and starting a family, she decided to turn her life-long love of writing into a career. Jason Wiltz (“J.”) is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi, where he grew up, attended school, and currently resides after living and teaching in Seoul, South Korea, for the past nine years. He holds an English degree from the University of Mississippi and a master’s degree in American literature from the University of New Orleans.
