Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the Alabama Marine Resources Division has received authorization to begin implementation of relief funding, which will assist in the recovery efforts of Alabama’s seafood-related businesses. Examples of eligible businesses would be commercial fishing, processing, marine aquaculture, and charter for-hire. The funding is available for financial damages incurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic between March 1, 2020 and May 31, 2020.
All applicants must provide one or more of the documents below. These documents must clearly show unreimbursed financial loss during March 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020, related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the world continues to navigate through these uncertain times, grants are still being awarded to those seeking them. Coming up next week is the deadline for an available grant through the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This grant comes from the National Trust Preservation Funds.
Grants from the National Trust Preservation Funds are meant to encourage preservation at the local level by providing seed money for planning and education projects. Awarded grants can be used to launch new initiatives or to provide additional support to current efforts.
Awarded amounts range from $2500 to $5000.
